Lakoda app for iPhone and iPad

I wanted to give back to the American people by giving them a platform that allowed them to still have their freedoms and freedom of speech. With that, does come censorship which I was aware of when creating “Lakoda”. Due to censoring, I came up with the idea of making my platform strictly for the age of 18 and older for adult content only. While “adult content only” usually infers or implies pornography or pornographic material, which is not what “Lakoda” is intended for. Other social media platforms are not exclusively for those 18 and older, resulting in children from the age of 8 to 17 having access to and being exposed to “adult content”. What I refer to as “adult content” is language, slang, gestures of any kind, which may not be appropriate for those under 18 years of age. The language, slang, gestures of any sort, do not violate Apple’s Guidelines 1.1.2 and 1.1.4; however, the do pose a concern to children being exposed to the content. As a mother, I feel there needs to be a clear separation between children and adults being on social media. Some adults would prefer that children not be exposed to creators content. The 18+ rises concern for the account developers, Apple. The ability to verify age is a revolution to the media era. This allows me as a CEO to slow down and monitor for sexual assault, harassment, and exploitation of a minor as they will not be allowed on “Lakoda”. On other media platforms that allow children, accounts are getting flagged and banned if a child is “shirtless”; identifying it as “child pornography”, when in fact that is not true nor the case. Another example is a group of girls, boys, or both at the pool side doing a trending dance. They look over the age of 18 but their ages range from 14-17. While an adult may not know their age and find them attractive, the adult could try to pursue some sort of a relationship with these individuals leading to illegal activity with a minor. Again with “Lakoda” being 18+, this draws a line between adults and minors. This is to protect both the adults and the children. This keeps real predators away from actually preying on our children. I am requiring legal, government issued ID which will be checked by my team, Berbix, as a preventative measure to ensure all parties are safe. “Lakoda” is not violating guidelines 1.1.1 either. Our goal is to protect minors. Every consumer that joins “Lakoda” will know for a fact each account/person is 18+. While our children are exposed to so much in the media world, this limits them from being exposed to being bullied essentially. This will cut back tremendously on bullying and young age suicides.. While “Lakoda” and its content may not violate Apple’s Guidelines, its content for some users may not be pleasant. My team is also working on implementing a block option for users in conjunction with the report option. “Lakoda” fully intends to follow all of Apple’s Guidelines. We’d like to be the game changer for the media world in a positive manner. Given the opportunity, we as a small platform, would like to be given that chance. Again, “Lakoda” is not an 18+ app to produce or provide sexual, adult content. We are here to break the cycle between adults and minors.
